Super Mario Kart F-1 Z is a hack of SNES Super Mario Kart released September 1, 2017. It will have 8 traditional characters, as well as 4 traditional cups and 20 traditional tracks. But the difference is a slightly different HUD, as well as 2 additional cups, 8 additional racers, and 10 additional courses. This game will also add 4 additional items. This game will use the SMK Addition Engine, where you can add additional characters, tracks, items, and modes.

Beta Elements[]
- Professor E. Gadd, Rosalina, Link, and The Inklings were all supposed to be playable characters, but were all replaced by Shy Guy, Diddy Kong, Dry Bowser, and Funky Kong.
- There was supposed to be a Donut Plains 5 in Pipe Cup, but was replaced with Mario Circuit 7 in the final version. The track can still be found in the game's coding.
- Online mode was originally open to 1-4 players, but has changed to 1-2 players due to space limitations.
- Funky Kong had his original 64 look in the beta, but has changed to the modern Mario Kart Wii version in the final.
