Time trials are usually just referred to "Beat the clock races", in these you have a complete the track in a series of time. When you beat the course, it just says what it does in a normal race and shows the other time. It only recordes up to 5, so the top 5 fastest are recorded on here. You can choose the racer, and the cart. The no of Carts/Racers depends on how far you are on the game. |

Ghost racers
The 2nd time you play the same course, You will see a ghost. However, the option to remove ghosts are also there.The ghost will race you. If you win, the new name will be placed as no. 1. If you lose, the race will be placed as 2,3,4,5 or NR. In Mario Kart DS, you can download ghost/recieve ghost from your friends. Rarely, a nintendo Ghost player will come as Mario in Mario Circuit. If you defeat him, you recieve ten stars plus another random character.
