A discussion about Blue Shells:

A quote from this page says that "Winged Spiny Shells are much more efficient than the previously replaced Spiny Shells."

They are only more efficient in the sense that they hit more often. They are actually WORSE if you are in 8th or 12th place and do not help you in those positions. Plus they annoy the person in 1st (usually me...) because they are not helping the person behind catch up.

I have changed it to

"Winged Spiny Shells nearly always hit, however, they do not actually aid the user unless it is a close race because one won't gain any places because of it. Spiky Shells do aid in getting places as they try to hit all players along the way."

They aren't actually more efficient at gaining places, they just annoy users.

Plus they look nicer (Spiky Shells)...
