- For a listing of other courses with the same name, see Luigi Circuit.
In Mario Kart: Double Dash!!, Luigi Circuit's design is among the simplest in the series, featuring nothing more than a simple oval shaped track that folds in on itself at one point. There are Boost Pads littered around the track, and the normal supply of item boxes. A yellow building, a Luigi "castle", and smiley hills are visible in the background. It is full of Nintendo cloud signs and mushroom-looking things. Due to the simplistic nature of the track, the lack of sharp turns, and the long straight aways, the track favors heavy karts with high top speed. There are only two obstacles: pipes and a Chain Chomp. This is a very good course for snaking. It is the prequel of Yoshi Circuit and the game's Mario Circuit and all three have the same music.
This track differs with some engine classes. In 50cc, there's a border in the middle of the straight path before the oval turn blocking the two lanes. In 100cc and up, there is no border on the track. This makes it possible to attack someone who is going the opposite direction. Also, in 50cc, some alternate paths are blocked. In 100cc and up, players can take these alternate paths.
This track returns in Mario Kart DS as the final course of the Shell Cup. The border in the middle of the track does not return even in 50cc. The track is also wider in size. The shortcuts don't return also.
Mario Kart Trivia
- In the background, the player can see a mansion with a green "L" on the front. This mansion is actually the mansion you'll get if you get one hundred percent in Luigi's Mansion for the GameCube.
