DK Mountain is a course based on the jungle nature of the Donkey Kong games. It originally appeared in Mario Kart: Double Dash!!. It features an angry volcano, unstable bridges and a large cannon with falling boulder hazards.

In Mario Kart: Double Dash!!

DK Mountain is the final track of the Star Cup in Mario Kart: Double Dash!!. This course introduced the Cannon to Mario Kart, and several subsequent tracks would utilize this device.

In this track, you start by driving up a short hill from the start line. You then do a 180 degree turn (a sign of Donkey Kong can be seen) and enter the cannon, which fires you up to the top of the mountain. The trip down the mountain starts off in mountainous terrain that transitions about halfway down into jungle territory. The majority of the track is a downhill run with bumpy roads and very sharp turns. At points there are boulders you have to avoid, and there is a tight switchback where you have to avoid being knocked by boulders into a bottomless pit. The course ends with you driving across a rickety wooden bridge to return to the Finish Line. The roads can get so bumpy that racers can bounce right over Red Shells.

DK Mountain

DK Mountain is the third track of the Lightning Cup in Mario Kart Wii. The course is very similar to its original Double Dash!! incarnation with the addition of some ramps to accommodate the new aerial tricks feature. These include wooden jump ramps on the above treeline section and halfpipes in the first few s-turns following the transition from mountain to jungle. No Miis are there.
