Bowser Jr. is Bowser's only son and is the secondary antagonist of the Super Mario franchise. He claimed that his mom is Princess Peach, sometimes even calling her "Mama Peach" in Super Mario Sunshine. He first appeared in Super Mario Sunshine for the Nintendo GameCube. Just like Bowser, he has captured Princess Peach multiple times.

Bowser Jr. has been featured in recent Mario Party, Mario Kart', and Super Mario games, usually assisting his father in doing evil things. He appears in the Mario Kart series in Mario Kart: Double Dash!!, Mario Kart Wii, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe and in Mario Kart Tour. He also amkes an appearance in the Arcade series in Mario Kart Arcade GP DX.

He is considered to be one of the best racers of all time. The Koopalings were originally meant to be Bowser's children, but this was changed when Bowser Jr. was introduced to the Mario series.

Characteristics[]

Bowser Jr. looks basically like a child version of his father, Bowser. For one, he is a lot shorter, because he is a little kid. Also, his chains lack the spikes that Bowser's do. He has his hair in a type of ponytail, the main difference is that he wears a handkerchief with a drawing of a mouth with sharp teeth on it, in which to make himself look evil. And instead of a full set of long fangs like Bowser, he gets a small tooth. That may be the reason why he wears that handkerchief. On his hands and his feet he has sharp white claws, he has four fingers on each hand and three toes on each foot, he also has white pads on the plant of his feet.

Bowser Jr. is a lightweight racer, meaning he can use any kart that depends on the weight of his partner. His personal kart is the Bullet Blaster, a fast kart with decent acceleration, but it has terrible weight.

Mario Kart Wii[]

Bowser Jr. makes his first reappearance in the series in this game, but he is an unlockable character this time around. Also, he is a mediumweight character for the first and so far only time, and this means in this game that he can only drive medium karts and bikes. His karts are usually yellow, while some of his karts use green or black as well. He boosts Off-Road and Mini-Turbo. He is worked best with the Super Blooper or the Zip Zip, while his signature vehicle is the Sneakster.

Mario Kart 8 Deluxe[]

Bowser Jr. returns in Mario Kart 8 Deluxe as one of the playable characters, after being absent in Mario Kart 7 and Mario Kart 8. He is now lightweight class, just like in Mario Kart: Double Dash!!. Bowser Jr. is one of the heavier lightweights, sharing stats with Koopa Troopa and Lakitu. His signature kart is the returning Koopa Clown.

Mario Kart Tour[]

Bowser Jr. also appears in Mario Kart Tour, classified as a Super Driver. Like Bowser, his Special Skill is the Bowser Shell, which has a similar function in the item's original appearance. The Koopa Clown from Mario Kart 8 Deluxe makes a return in this game. He also has a pirate outfit.

Trivia![]

  • The pads of his feet are similar to Birdo's.
  • If Bowser were the same age as him, they would look almost exactly the same. This can be confirmed due to Bowser's youth in the Yoshi's Island series, minus the bib.
  • Bowser Jr. was confirmed as a playable character in a trailer for Mario Kart 8 Deluxe.
    • He was also featured in the Nintendo Switch Parental Controls video, using the Koopa Clown.
  • The only time Bowser Jr. was a medium weight character was in Mario Kart Wii.
